Like other AlNiCo2 pickups (57 Classic®, Pearly Gates®, etc), VTB produces balanced tone with a more mid range focus than A5 pickups. The clean sound is round and feel easy to ears. Coil turns was adjusted for the overdrive sound to be mellow and smooth.
When in SE or SET mode, it gives jolly grits and bites.
